According to Lamborghini’s chief executive Stephan Winkelmann, it appears that the Italian manufacturer is considering a so-called ‘everyday’ model to its lineup. Apparently, Lamborghini wants to introduce a model able to be used on a daily bases but Winklemann didn’t give any details if the new model will take on Ferrari’s latest FF or the Porsche Panamera.

Moreover, Lamborghini is not planning to work with a partner on its new model, but it will use synergies where possible within the Volkswagen group, according to Autonews. The new car will be ready in about four years, just in time to see the super sportscar market returning to the record levels seen in 2007.

For those who don’t know, Lamborghini sold 3,500 supercars back in 2007, while in 2010 sold 2,600. The Italian company was hit hard by the financial crisis back in 2008, when it sold only 2,430 cars. Lamborghini has some high expectations for the Aventador LP700-4, its latest supercar priced at 313,000 euro. Markets such as China and Russia are expected to boost Lamborghini’s sales. "We will be growing but on a level which for the time being is not so important for us as the fact we are building up a new order bank," Winkelmann said.
